A woman with neck pain after a car crash.

Auto accidents can be devastating. They cause a big interruption in your life. It is not only your health at stake; it is your family life, your work, the daily activities you are accustomed to doing or need to do, your social life, etc.

When you are involved in a car accident, and you are injured, you want to feel better faster so you can go on with your life as soon as possible. That is why, we are here to help! Dr. Elgendy and her team are here to make the process of healing faster for you.

Even a minor auto accident may cause headaches, neck and back pain and stiffness, numbness in the extremities, shoulder pain, and knee pain, depending on the injuries sustained from the accident.

Dr. Elgendy specializes in diagnosing and treating Auto Accident injuries. Dr. Elgendy diagnoses your condition only after a careful history and a complete physical examination, which she personally performs. A complete evaluation will include orthopedic and neurologic examination, ordering the appropriate diagnostic imaging studies (x-rays, MRI, CT scans, etc.), and/or laboratory work. She personally goes over the results and discusses your case and your treatment options with you. She starts treatment only when you agree to the treatment and only when both of you think chiropractic is the best treatment option for your health.

And Dr. Elgendy will refer you to appropriate specialists, if needed, to be evaluated for further treatment options if chiropractic is not enough to resolve all of your health issues. Sometimes, you might need the consultation of a neurologist or orthopedic surgeon. The appropriate referrals will be made on a case-by-case basis only if needed, in order to help you receive complete care for all your accident-related health needs.

A man with whiplash after an auto accident.

One common neck injury is a sprain. This is also known as "whiplash."

Whiplash is an all-too-common mechanism of injury in more than one million rear-end collisions that take place in the United States every year. Although the classic symptoms of whiplash (headache, dizziness, neck, shoulder, jaw, and/or arm pain) may subside after a few weeks of appropriate care, it's estimated that nearly one in four cases will become chronic, resulting in long-term discomfort and disability.

Chiropractic may offer the best opportunity for relief from the pain of whiplash, according to a study published in the Journal of Orthopaedic Medicine. Ninety-three patients with chronic whiplash symptoms were divided into three groups based on the nature and severity of their symptoms. All 93 patients received an average of 19.3 chiropractic adjustments over the study period (about four months).

Results showed that two of the three groups (patients with neck pain, restricted neck range of motion, and/or neurological symptoms) improved under chiropractic care, with 85.5% reporting "some benefit," 33.5% improving by two symptom grades, and 31% being relieved of all symptoms.

If you or a loved one suffers from whiplash, make an appointment with Dr. Elgendy today. As the authors of this study conclude, when it comes to treating whiplash, "chiropractic is the only proven effective treatment."

A woman with headaches looking for relief.

Headaches are as different as the individuals who endure the pain they bring. If there were only one contributing factor to headaches, treatment would be easy. However, it is not that simple. Headaches can also be one of the symptoms of an auto accident injury.

Tension headaches are the most common, affecting up to 95% of the population. These headaches are caused by contracting muscles in the neck, head, and back. The contractions rob the muscles of oxygen, causing them to send pain signals to the brain. Triggers of tension headaches include emotional stress, poor sitting posture, gripping a telephone between the shoulder and head, and driving in heavy traffic.

When suffering from headaches, the only thing that matters to you is getting relief. Dr. Elgendy can help. She is highly experienced in diagnosing and treating headaches.

Auto Accident Attorneys.

How Can I Pay For These Services?

If you have hired an attorney, please bring their information to your first visit. We will work on an ATTORNEY LIEN for your auto accident case.

If the injuries you suffered are the result of an accident that was caused by the other party, and you have not hired an attorney yet, their insurance will usually want you to be treated on your own, where you will have to pay for your own treatment. And, once you finish your treatments, they will offer you a settlement, which will usually include a reimbursement of your treatment cost and lost wages, if any, etc.

Usually, this will be very costly for you because you will need to get proper diagnostic imaging testing, referrals to other specialists, and the cost of chiropractic treatments. We work with a few excellent attorneys in Riverside, who will give you a FREE CONSULTATION if you would like to hire one to represent your case.

We also offer financing through CareCredit Financing, which can be another option to pay for the treatment you need and want!
